This website uses no cookies, no tracking, no analytics and no third-party content. All files are served by our own server.

Server logs. When you open a page, the web server stores your IP address, the time, the requested address and your browser's user agent in a log file. This is needed to operate and secure the server (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Logs are rotated and deleted automatically.

License activation. When you activate Driftwood or start the trial, the app sends your license key, an app version and an anonymous device ID. The device ID is a one-way hash of hardware identifiers; it cannot be traced back to your hardware. We store it with the time of first and last use to bind the license to your PC. IP addresses are stored only as a keyed hash to limit trial abuse (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR).

Self-service. Device resets are logged with time and a hashed IP address to enforce the 30-day limit.
